An addictive romantasy read... from the first chapter I was pulled into Odessa's world of gods, monsters, cursed kingdoms and political bargains.

An undeniably beautiful modern gothic fantasy. Yes, there is a slow build-up. Is it worth it? Completely. I was enmeshed and fully invested in this spellbinding tale of a cursed town and a haunted house.

This was a light, quick read, but Rachel Griffin has such a beautiful way with words; it's easy to feel a connection with the nature and magic in her stories. 

Tonight, I Burn by Katherine J Adams - a magical rebellion and a dangerous romance... A world on the brink of chaos, where witches walk the veil between life and death by burning at the stake each night.

Emilia Hart has expertly woven a story following the lives of women separated by centuries, but connected by a legacy of power.  It was a well-paced and absorbing read, with cleverly interwoven narratives that celebrate resilience and female empowerment. The writing is beautifully evocative and achingly deep - the descriptions of magic and nature are delicious. I was highly invested in all three main characters, and their strength and character growth in male dominated worlds
